Privacy Policy

This is the plain-language version, because nobody, including Newton, has ever finished reading a real privacy policy.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, and shipping address. Payment details are entered directly into Stripe and never touch our servers — Stripe processes and stores that information under its own security standards. We do not create accounts or store passwords; there is nothing to log into here.

Cookies

We do not use cookies to track you around the internet. Stripe’s checkout sets its own cookies to keep your payment session secure, which is out of our hands and, frankly, none of our business.

Email

Order confirmations and shipping updates are sent through Resend. Buying something does not put you on a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.

The mailing list

You only join if you ask to — by filling in the form on the home page, or by ticking the box in the cart, which is never ticked for you. When you do, we keep your email address, your name if you gave one, the exact sentence you agreed to, the date you agreed, and where it happened (the site or the checkout), along with the internet address the request came from, when there is one. We keep it so that if anyone ever asks why you are on the list, the answer is on file rather than a shrug.

We use it for occasional news about books, cards, and Newton’s opinions. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click is all it takes. If you would rather not click anything, write to the studio and we’ll take you off ourselves.

Comments

If you leave a comment on the blog, we keep your name, the comment itself, your email address if you chose to give one, and the internet address the comment came from, which is only there to keep the spam out. Every comment is read by a person before it appears, so yours will not show up straight away.

Your email address is never shown on the site and never added to the mailing list — it is only how we would reply to you privately. Write to the studio and we’ll take a comment down, no explanation needed.

Questions, or deletion requests

Write to the studio and we’ll sort it out, promptly and without fuss.
