Tigrino the Leopardus Tilcayo Magnificus

A new cat species has been discovered in Bolivia, and as far as they know, it has only one member.

The BBC described it as "about the size of a domestic moggy."

Now, I'm all for new cats in the world but I have two questions:

1. How is there only one of them? and
2. What the heck is a moggy?

They believe there are more, but apparently someone thought this young cat was originally a kitten and it grew up to be... not like a housecat. They think there are more but haven't found them yet, because they hide well, and/or they've confused them with other similar-looking cats.

They've named it Tigrino, Leopardus tilcayo, and it looks a lot like the Oncilla, the northern tiger cat. 'Tiger-Cat' species are very at-risk thanks to you humans (UGH!) cutting down their trees and taking over their habitats.

Now, to the other important part of this blog: What is a moggy?

A moggy is any cat which has not been intentionally bred.

Sounds kind of like a cat-mutt whose parents just.... uh... ran amok. You know, the reason why you all spay and neuter your pets. Sounds a little... derogatory and demeaning, if you ask me.

Wait, am I a moggy? Is mog the short form? Should I name this Mog's Blog? The Moggy's MacBloggy? I was a farm-kitten. I think. I choose to think I was born on a throne of fluff, immaculately made, 100% perfection, and intentionally brought to this earth for all of you to worship.

Just like Tigrino.
