Autumn Jitters

Autumn is a strange time.
I get it; the trees are ready to conserve energy here in Canada for the long winter, so they shed their leaves and they tumble to the ground.
I like pretending the leaves are little tubes of chapstick, or pencils, glasses of wine, cups full of whisky, marbles, remote controls, thumb tacks, picture frames, hair clips, bottles of water, and cell phones that I've knocked off the table. Sadly, the leaves don't make exciting smash-sounds like these other objects do, but it's fun nonetheless. It's good to have an imagination.
Some of us cats have what I like to call, "Autumn Jitters." This actually comes from the blowing of these leaves across the grass. We confuse these leaves for prey; they catch our eye and sometimes all these leaves can make our heads go all garbled. SO MANY LEAVES ARE THOSE LEAVES WHAT'S GOING ON WHAT'S HITTING THE WINDOW ALL THIS NOISE IS THAT A MOUSE IN THE GRASS IS THAT ANOTHER MOUSE OVER THERE IS IT A LEAF OR ANOTHER LEAF SO MANY MOUSE-LEAVES NO WAIT IT'S A SKUNK NO A LEAF THEY'RE EVERYWHERE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WHY ARE MY EYES ROLLING AROUND IN MY HEAD LIKE A BOGGLE GAME
It can get quite exhausting. So sometimes we grab said leaves and bring them inside to show you that we can still take care of business like a good tiger.
Please make us feel good by feeding us treats. Leaves don't taste as good as mousies or flies do. But they sure can be crunchy.
